Pilot Pathway is a two-sided aviation recruitment platform built to connect qualified pilots with the airlines and operators that need them. It gives pilots a structured, verified digital record of their licences, flight hours, aircraft experience and availability, so their professional identity is always current and easy to present. For airlines and recruiters, Pilot Pathway provides a searchable, filterable pilot pool: teams can narrow candidates by licence type, total hours, specific aircraft experience, and whether a pilot is actively looking — all before a single message is sent.

The platform is designed for two audiences. Pilots at any stage of their career use it to maintain a living CV and control when they appear in the market. Airlines, recruiters, and aviation organizations use it to discover eligible candidates for open roles, request contact details, and manage their shortlists. Every pilot receives a unique Pilot ID that airlines reference when shortlisting, keeping the process consistent and traceable.

About the Developer: Hi, I'm Chandre Swanepoel, a Grade III Flight Instructor (GRIII) proudly flying for one of the biggest flight schools in South Africa. As a passionate South African aviator, I've earned my commercial and instructor ratings while living the dream of sharing the skies with students and aviators from all over, while working my way to a Professional Airline Carrier. I work on this Application Part-time as a Hobby with the goal to Increase Safety, Situational Awareness and General Knowledge amongst all us Aviators and also to give back to the aviation community in a positive and simplistic way by just connecting the dots. Why This App Exists I created Pilotapp.co.za & Pilot Pathway because, like so many pilots, students, mechanics, and airline crew, I got tired of scrambling across scattered websites, forums, and portals just to find basic info, contacts, or resources. This free app is my way of giving back—centralizing the essentials we all need daily, from quick license checks to emergency numbers and aviation links and Industry connections all in one spot to cut the stress and uncertainty.
